As promised earlier, I have come up with tips for hair care. Taking care of hair basically involves a good, healthy diet and a few home remedial efforts towards strengthening and improving the quality of your hair.

There are a few basic Do's and Dont's while looking after your hair!
- First and foremost, eat a healthy and balanced diet. Nourish your hair with a lot of nutrient and Vitamin intake with a right amount of protein. Eggs, Sprouts, Dates, Fenugreek, Spinach and Walnuts should form a regular part of your diet.
Lean protein, whole grains, fruits and vegetable are very important for hair growth. Take lots of Vitamin C (strengthens hair), Iron (increases blood circulation in the head), Zinc(grows and repair tissue), and Omega -3 fatty acids (grows healthy hair).
- Next, use ample amount of hair oil. Massage your hair regularly from thrice in week (during winters) to once a week (during summers). Olive oil or almond oil are good for healthy hair.
- Wash hair regularly. Use a shampoo that best suits your hair type.Use hair conditioner regularly. Every hair wash should be followed with conditioning.
Coconut milk, egg white and henna are very good natural hair conditioner. Use of vinegar after shampoo is a good conditioner as well as helps in getting rid of dandruff.
- After wash, let your hair dry naturally. do not brush your hair too much.
- Style hair naturally. Do not blow dry, iron, press, re-bond, streak or color hair frequently.
- In winters, keep hair moisturized Use a good serum or hair cream for this purpose. Do not let hair open for long hours.
- Split ends are a very common problem faced by many people. Do not comb wet hair and trim hair regularly to avoid the problem of split ends.
- Drink lots of water during winters as well as summers to keep the hair hydrated.
- Remove stress from your life. Stress is a major cause of hair fall and premature graying of hair. Indulge yourself in Yoga, some fitness or exercise regimen to keep yourself stress free.
A few home remedy tips
- Remove the seeds from a well sized Papaya, mash it well to make a thick paste. Mix this paste in 1 cup of curd and apply to hair strands and ends. Leave it for 30 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with warm water. This is a good remedy against split ends.
- Ground Fenugreek seeds to a fine powder. Mix this with curd and little water. Apply to hair, wash after an hour. Use this once a month for split ends.
- Take a banana,mash it well and apply it on head, Wash after 45 minutes. This also works well against split ends and dandruff.
